Exploring London’s Olympic Waterscape
This website showcases a film which was produced in 2010 by a group of students from the Department of Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London. The goal of the project was to create a 20-minute film showing the changes taking place on London’s inland waterways, accompanied by photographs of historic memories of the area, how it is experienced in the present, and the future of these waterscapes in light of the 2012 Olympic games. The site features the completed film, a gallery of photographs, and a timeline. The film is concerned with matters of geography, ecology, archaeology and features interviews with opponents and advocates of the Olympic Project, including writers, archivists, developers, historians and athletes.

Future of Food
Video and audio resources from the Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Food, which connects research on the food system being done at Oxford University and supports interdisciplinary research on the challenges of feeding the global population sustainably and equitably. Video content includes debates, lectures and seminars.

Med-Mem
The results of a project to collect shared memories of the Mediterranean are presented on this website, which provides free access to over 4,000 audiovisual items from the region. Fourteen institutions from the Mediterranean region took part in the project, including broadcasters from Palestine, Israel, Spain, France, Italy, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt and Croatia. The site presents a selection of curated clips, aiming to provide a picture of the heritage, culture and history of the Mediterranean area. The clips are accompanied by wide range of editorial content, offering the opportunity to explore by theme and collection, with maps and timelines to aid navigation. Themes cover arts, economy, trade, industry, eco-systems, water issues, food and cooking, migration etc. The site is available in English, French and Arabic.

Mehfil-e-Mushaira: Urdu Poetry in Audio
This collection presents clips of poets reading their work, collected from Mushairas (poetry symposia held in North India and Pakistan). English translations are provided for a selection of the pieces, and there are profiles of the poets and a selection of relevant articles and news items. The clips require RealPlayer.

Three Composers
This website (which is available in English and Polish) features the work of three of the 20th century’s pre-eminent Polish composers: Henryk Górecki, Witold Lutosławski and Krzysztof Penderecki. Over three hundred pieces of music are available to stream, the majority of which have been digitised from the archives of Polish Radio by the Polish National Audiovisual Institute (NInA). The site is nicely designed and easy to browse: users can filter their searches by year, genre, form and category in a thoughtfully designed search field. All the pieces are accompanied by detailed production credits, extended descriptions and other contextual information, including the composers’ own opinions about the music, as well as the opinions of critics and musicologists. The quality of the recording is generally very high, but recordings of lower quality have also been made available, due to their historical value.
