Virginia Haworth-Galt to take over as new BUFVC Chief Executive

VHG-book-case-facing-web Virginia Haworth-Galt is to take over as Chief Executive of the British Universities Film & Video Council in 2014 following the departure of Luís Carrasqueiro.

Virginia joins the BUFVC after a career in cultural education spanning over twenty years. For the last 3 years she has been Chief Executive of The UK Association for Music EducationMusic Mark (formerly FMS). Before that she worked for six years as the Chief Executive for Artswork (now a Bridge Delivery Organisation) – the project-based youth development organisation, providing a range of creative and cultural opportunities for young people at risk – and before that set up ENYAN, the English National Youth Arts Network. She has an MA in Film from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
