The official website of American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, political theorist and activist, Noam Chomsky. Simply designed and clearly laid out, the site has biographies, a bibliography and links to transcripts of interviews, articles, interviews and reviews. The Audio and Video page has hundreds of links to recordings of talks, interviews and speeches with Chomsky, dating back to the early 1970s, including this debate, filmed at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 1971, between Chomsky and French philosopher Michel Foucault on the subject of human nature.

400 Years of the Telescope
This website accompanies the PBS film of the same name, produced to mark the International Year of Astronomy in 2009. The site features a generous selection of video clips, selected from over seventy hours of material, shot during the making of the film, featuring interviews with leading astronomers, many of which are accompanied by full transcripts.

Nucleus Animation Library
Nucleus Health creates animations, illustrations and interactive multimedia relating to the medical world, primarily designed for patient education purposes. Their animation library includes over 150 high quality 3D animations which cover a variety of subjects, including cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic tests and procedures, ear, nose and throat (ENT), emergency medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology. The animations are freely available to view in watermarked versions. Users who buy a license can use the content on their own websites.

TV5Monde  – La Langue Française
TV5 Monde is a television network with several channels of French language programming. Its Langue Française channel is aimed at students and teachers of French, with a wide selection of content tailored to all levels of ability.
The site is divided into three sections – Decouvrir le français, Apprendre le français and Enseigner le français. Of particular note is the 7 Jours Hebdomadaire resource, which features interactive French lessons based on news and current affairs programmes, set at elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. Another resource presents the Fables of La Fontaine using simple but effective animation and audio narration. The website also has complementary tools such as a dictionary, translation software, and an interactive language column by linguist Bernard Cerquiglin.

The design magazine’s video page features short items on art, architecture, fashion, design, lifestyle and travel. The films consist of interviews, reviews with artists, architects and designers as well as reports on the latest developments in the art and design world. To celebrate the reopening of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Wallpaper hosted a discussion on digital innovation, in which the panel, including the museum’s director of collections, Taco Dibbits, explore how interactivity, and allowing the public to creatively reuse digitised collections, is vital to the future of cultural repositories.
