4C Consultation now open

The 4C Project – the Collaboration to Clarify the Costs of Curation – was launched in February 2013 and aims to help organisations across Europe to invest more effectively in digital curation and preservation. Its partners include Jisc, the University of Essex, the Digital Curation Centre at the University of Edinburgh, The University of Glasgow as well as major bodies from Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Portugal and The Netherlands.

4C will establish the most effective current methods for private and public sector organisations to estimate and compare the cost of digital curation, and to identify the most beneficial paths for future development of solutions and services.

The 4C project is issuing an open consultation to find people interested in clarifying the costs of curation for their organisation. It consists of an online questionnaire that will start a communication channel for further engagement. The consultation closes on June 17.
