BoB upgrade update
Published: 26 August 2016Thank you for your continued patience as we carry out the phased BoB upgrade throughout August. We’ve been steadily importing archive content into the new system and converting it to HTML5, so programmes play across iOS and Android devices. The system now links to 1.5 million broadcasts, with content dating back to the 1990s.
Clips and playlists functionality
From Wednesday 31 August enhanced clips functionality will be restored. You will be able to make clips from programmes, and you’ll be able to name them and give them a description. Another new feature is the ability to easily re-edit your clips at any time, getting them just the right length for whatever you’re working on. Playlist functionality will also be restored, so you can compile and curate playlists of content from the archive.
Your clips and playlists
From Monday 12 September you’ll be able to import your previous clips and playlists from the old BoB system. The importation process is quick and easy.
We’ve doubled your recording limit
We’ve upped your daily recording limit from five to ten, and we’re very happy to say that making clips will no longer eat into your recording limit. From Wednesday 31 August you’ll be able to make unlimited numbers of clips a day.
