BBC Inside Science
BBC Radio 4 series. Dr Adam Rutherford and guests illuminate the mysteries and challenge the controversies behind the science that’s changing the world. Recent topics have included preserving global biodiversity, zero gravity space, new images of Pluto from the New Horizons space probe and artificial intelligence. The content information accompanying each programme is full but only a summary appears as the title; there is no subject searching facility. Episodes are available indefinitely.

BBC Store
Launched 5 November 2015 with over 7,000 hours of content (and added to daily) BBC Store allows the viewer to instantly own and keep digital copies of a wide range of BBC programmes. As well as being able to buy single episodes, or complete series, bundles of programmes can be purchased. There are also themed collections, gathered from the BBC archive. The service currently focuses on drama, entertainment, and factual programming, but will strive to add more content for children, as well as music programming; sports programming and current affairs are more problematical. The viewer can stream programmes they have bought online instantly when signed into BBC Store and BBC iPlayer via the browser on mobile, tablet, PC or Mac. To watch purchases without an internet connection programmes can be downloaded to a PC or Mac using the BBC Store Downloader.

BBC Shakespeare Archive Resource
The site contains hundreds of television and radio programmes from the BBC’s Shakespeare collection, as well as more than a thousand photos from classic Shakespeare productions. The programmes are only available for streamed playback in a UK educational setting, for example in a classroom, lecture theatre or for academic research. To play the programmes, or see the photos, you will need to prove you are part of a school, FE college or a university, using the authentication box on the site.

Moral Maze
BBC Radio 4 series, chaired by Michael Buerk, offering live debate on the moral and ethical issues behind one of the week’s news stories. Recent topics have included Islamic State recruitment in Britain, the morality of debt, and the culture of the victim. Episodes are available for streaming and download for the usual thirty days; selected individual episodes from 2011 are also available. There is no subject search facility.
