Freedom Express 1989 exhibition launched
Published: 10 November 2014Freedom Express is an international campaign organised by the ENRS to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the collapse of communism in Central and Eastern Europe. The campaign started with a study trip for young people, who followed in the footsteps of the events that had changed Europe in 1989. It continues with a travelling multimedia exhibition, which tells the story of different paths taken by the Central European nations to regain their freedom and democracy.
EUscreen is contributing to this exhibition with a video collage consisting of unique television footage highlighting decisive moments in the 1989 freedom movement in several Eastern European countries.
The multimedia exhibition was launched in Berlin on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. It will travel to Brussels 17-21 November and Warsaw 28 November – 15 December 2014.
Alongside the European tour of the physical exhibition, a digital version is also available http://1989.enrs.eu/exhibition
