National Archives: Files on Film competition

‘Files on film’ is a competition from the National Archives. They have selected sections of ten diverse documents from their collection to be used as inspiration for a short film (no longer than three minutes). Anyone can enter, using any type of film equipment from mobile phones to studio cameras.

The winning films will be awarded:

  • £450 for 1st prize
  • £200 for the runner-up

The winning film will also be shown on the National Archives website.

Upload the film to Youtube and complete the entry form with the live URL. The completed entry form should be sent to: filesonfilm@nationalarchives.gsi.gov.uk.
