moving image and sound, knowledge and access

The way to search BUFVC collections is changing

You can now search 9 of the BUFVC’s collections straight from the BUFVC homepage (beta version).  View almost 14 million film, television and radio records, dating from 1896 onwards, via a single search box.

The new simple way to search will open up the stand-alone collections allowing you to discover new content and unexplored collections.

Find out more about the moving image and sound collections included in the new search here: BUFVC collections

The new simple way to search includes:

  • a more interactive interface
  • a clean design and user friendly icons
  • ‘human friendly’ result filters
  • intelligently generated related records & searches
  • a link to BoB National from TRILT records to view available programmes immediately

Members can also continue to search individual collections for specific enquiries via the new interface, in the usual way.

The new homepage, currently in beta mode, will be released as the default BUFVC website homepage at Easter. We would be grateful for your feedback.
