BBC launches ‘The Programme List’

The BBC has launched what it calls, “A little list to help you find, store and retrieve the TV and radio programmes you want to remember”. It can be used with the output from the five main terrestrial broadcasters (BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and five). This prototype, from BBC Research & Development, aims to help users quickly make a list of programmes they have heard about and have been meaning to watch. It main ambitions are to allow people to:

  • Search for recent and upcoming programmes
  • Add entire shows, series or just episodes
  • See which of selected programmes are available today

Users will require a Twitter account – for sign in. For further information, visit: http://proglist.prototyping.bbc.co.uk/login

You can search for programmes by title, presenters, guests or other keywords. It includes titles from the past 7 days and the next 10 days.

Please send any feedback or questions by email or to @programmelist.

BUFVC members can already organise their viewing via the auto alert services of TRILT and BoB National.
