As part of its rolling programme of service reviews, the BBC Trust has today launched an 8-week consultation on the performance of the BBC News Channel and BBC Parliament. Individuals and organisations are invited to submit their comments on the overall performance of the two channels, particularly with regard to quality, distinctiveness and value for money.

The outcome of the consultation and the BBC’s future plans for the services will be published in a final report early in 2012.
