Copyright advice from the experts

On Tuesday 30 November the BUFVC will be offering an essential one-day training course for those copying and using existing content in their productions and services, delivered by leading experts in the field of copyright.

Presented by Alma Hales (acting head of Intellectual Property at the Open University) and Bernadette Attwell (former Deputy Head of Intellectual Property at the Open University) the course will provide participants with an up-to-date understanding of:

Rights ownership and licensing

• The status of copyright exceptions

• The meaning of ‘fair dealing’

• The process of rights clearance

The course will include practical advice, easy to understand guidance and the opportunity to have specific rights-related queries answered by experts.
