British Library 10-year strategy
Published: 22 September 2010Following a year of research and consultation, the British Library has just published 2020 Vision, which sets out its priorities and aspirations for the next decade.
In today’s climate of significant technological change, it highlights what are likely to be the key trends and opportunities over the next decade and indicates how the library will increase user access to the world’s knowledge base.
It is estimated that by 2020 75% of all titles worldwide will be published digitally, so to ensure availability to future generations a major priority will be to increase dramatically the amount of digital content th BL collects, stores and makes accessible.
