- Monty at Large. Monty Modlyn visits the New Covent Garden fruit, vegetable, and flower market in Nine Elms, south London following the relocation from the traditional site in central London. Speakers include: Tom McMahon, market trader and beadle; Beatrice, from Apples and Pears public house; Louis Reece, director; John Ellis, Fruit Importers Association; Barry Collingridge, Covent Garden Tenants’ Association; Peter Downham(?), flower trader for David Ingamells; Mr Wilson, flower trader; Buster Edwards, Great Train Robber and flower-seller; Cyril Thompson, trader; Mac(?) McKenna(?), Covent Garden Market Authority; various unidentified stallholders and buyers. Includes (pre-recorded?) brass band musical medley (Strawberry Fair, and The Floral Dance). In two parts, divided by break in audio.
