A tour of Highgate Cemetery, now maintained by the Friends of Highgate Cemetery. Honorary Secretary Jean Pateman describes how the cemetery began in 1839 and expanded as it grew in popularity. Judith Ewell(?), Acting Chairman of the Friends, talks about Karl Marx’s grave. Brian Peters cuts down a sycamore tree which has pushed open a tomb, and describes the damage caused.
