Robert Allen reports on the case of Sara Thornton who has had her conviction for murdering her violent husband Malcolm Thornton quashed at the court of appeal, retrial has been announced. The housewife from Atherstone in Warwickshire was jailed for life for stabbing her husband at their home in 1989. Home Secretary Michael Howard referred the case back to the court of appeal in July 1995; details evidence.
