Nick Peters reports on the news that Soviet foreign minister, Eduard Shevardnadze has accepted American proposals for deep reductions in chemical weapons and suggested the two super-powers work together on a global ban. Shevardnadze, speaking through an interpreter, says there is little doubt that ridding the world of chemical weapons would benefit everyone.
