- Description
- Army engineers who detonated a huge unexploded wartime bomb in East London last night are warning that the Docklands building boom could unearth many more such relics of the Blitz. Bomb disposal men worked non-stop for thirty hours to blow up the 500-pound bomb found by workmen digging a sewer in Limehouse. Mark Percy was there as the UXB drama ended. Major Geoff Ward comments on the scene, and Captain Tony Crawford describes the possibilty of finding more bombs as more buildings go up, whilst builder Malcolm Brathwaite hopes there are no more lying around.
