Last night’s Poll Tax demonstration ended in violence when demonstrators clashed with police outside Brixton Jail where those jailed for last March’s Trafalgar Square riot are being held. Chief steward Kenny Mosley was in the front line when the trouble flared and says it was provoked by police; the inspector in charge of the riot police, Anthony Newman describes events.
