Conservative Party Chairman Brian Mawhinney on the Labour Party Welfare for Work proposals which would force the unemployed under 25 to accept work, opt for training or risk a cut in benefits. Mawhinney says the proposals cannot be funded by a one off windfall tax on the privatised utilities and government schemes to help the unemployed in this age group are succeeding.
