- John Anderson reflects on the scandals and successes of the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea. Commentary of the men’s 100 metres in which Canadian, Ben Johnson beat Carl Lewis and Linford Christie with a world record time of 9.79 seconds. Johnson speaks after the race before an unidentified female announces that he has tested positive for anabolic steroids and is therefore disqualified. British judo bronze medallist, Kerrith Brown also tested positive for drugs and was stripped of his medal. American, Florence Griffith Joyner won three golds and a silver, setting a new world record in the 200 metres, whilst Briton, Adrian Moorehouse won gold in the 100-metre breaststroke. The British hockey team - including Ian Taylor who carried the flag at the opening ceremony - won gold against West Germany and Imran Sherwani, who scored two goals in the final, speaks after the game. Concludes with nternational Olympic Committee President, Juan Antonio Samaranch, speaking at the closing ceremony.
