Preview of new recording, Only for One Night, by British jazz musician Courtney Pine, who speaks at length to Steve Jones. Pine discusses his influences - Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday – those who got him into jazz - Grover Washington Junior and Sonny Rollins – as well as those he has learnt from - Wayne Shorter, Winton Marcellus, Bradford Marcellus and Pharoah Sanders. He also speaks about his collaboration with Mica Paris, his albums Journey to the Urge Within and Destiny’s Song, his contemporaries - Steve Williamson, Phillip bent and Cleveland Watkins – and about breaking into America.
