She pays tribute to Ian Gow - the Conservative MP murdered by the IRA in July 1990 â and highlights significant world events from the past year including Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait and the tearing down of the Berlin Wall; outlines future reforms, vision and Conservative policies on education, economy, crime and Europe; declares the death of socialism and has a pop at Neil Kinnock and the Liberal Democrats. At the beginning of the speech there is commentary by an unnamed male reporter.
