Interview with Trade Secretary, Lord Young (David Young), about proposed Government measures to curtail the monopoly of Britain’s top six brewing giants with the promise of cheaper beer in pubs. Lord Young is allowing the brewers to keep 2000 of their pubs but says they will have to turn half of the remainder into free houses. This flies in the face of a Monopolies and Mergers Commission recommendation. Male interviewer not identified.
