Description

Mark Phillips reports on hostages returning to England from Kuwait, where they had been detained as part of Saddam Hussein’s human shield. 18 year-old Suzanne(?) Turvey from Barrow-in-Furness says food and supplies had been sucked out of Kuwait; she tells how she was interrogated by Iraqi soldiers before being allowed to leave. Bavne(?) Trevada(?) speaks of Kuwaiti informers. Anne(?) Mansell of Basingstoke, whose husband is still in Kuwait, remains optimistic that she will rejoin him there before Christmas.
