- Description
- Home Secretary, David Waddington announces that the case of the Birmingham Six is to be referred to the Court of Appeal following an investigation by the Devon and Cornwall Police which has cast doubt on the original evidence. The defendants were convicted in 1975 for two pub bombings which killed 21 people and always proclaimed their innocence. They had a previous appeal rejected in 1987. Interview by LBC political correspondent, Paul Rowley.
