The UN Security Council has unanimously approved the use of a force resolution to protect a relief effort in Somalia with some arguments over who should lead the tropps, 28,000 of the troops will be from the US. Presidential spokesperson Marlin Fitzwater is reported as hopeful the objective can be achieved before Bill Clinton replaces President George H. W. Bush in the White House.
