Today is the fifty year anniversary of the first nuclear chain reaction which occurred in a converted squash court in Chicago. Harold Agnew and Warren Nyer speak to Mark Phillips at an international meeting in the Science Museum, South Kensington to mark the anniversary about what happened on that day. Also on the implications and uses of their work including the atomic bomb droped on Hiroshima and the nuclear deterrent in the Cold War.
