Description

Sunnie Mann, wife of former Lebanon hostage Jackie Mann, has died today of lung cancer at 78 in Cyprus. She came to the public eye whilst campaigning for her husband’s release. She was photographed by Lord Snowdon and adopted by the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, who she met at the 1991 Woman of the Year awards. Report includes archive audio of Sunnie and Jackie speaking after his release; and Sunnie’s sister, Betty Rubethan(?), expressing her sorrow at her passing. Report by Oni Bhattacharya.
