Commonwealth Secretary-General, Shridath Ramphal on the talks in Lusaka, Zambia, in 1979, between Commonwealth heads of Government and foreign ministers (Margaret Thatcher, Malcolm Fraser, Michael Manley, Henry Adefope, Julius Nyerere, Kenneth Kaunda, Shridath Ramphal) which led to an agreement on free elections in Rhodesia (later Zimbabwe).
