Description

Ric Davies reports on mass picketing by members of various trade unions at the Grunwick factory, violent incidents and the scene as workers’ buses arrive (hear strikers chanting). Speech by George Smith of the transport workers union. Speaks to one of the strikers; Jim Prior MP on why he doesn’t support mass picketing and secretaries of states joining the picketline; and John Gorst MP. A meeting between Albert Booth, Employment Secretary and Roy Grantham APEX union leader will go ahead tonight despite George Ward, factory owner, refusing to attend.
