Gill Pyrah interviews Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, a full lyric soprano from New Zealand. In 1981, she was seen and heard around the world by an estimated 600 million people when she sang Handel’s Let the Bright Seraphim at the wedding of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Lady Diana Spencer. Here she discusses her life and career, and how she juggles her worldwide travel, musical career and family life. She also discusses where she would like to settle down, and some of her interests, as well as picking some of her favourite records.
