Description
Max Cotton reports from Alperton on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the closure of the Ace Cafe on the North Circular Road. The cafe was a meeting place for British bikers in the 1950s and 1960s but was closed down by police in 1969. It was reopened for one day at the weekend, to mark the anniversary. Includes interviews with bikers celebrating the event: Mark Wilsmore, Fred Johnson, Tony The Mouse Cannon, Father Scott Anderson; music by the The Shangri-Las et al. (In later years Mark Wilsmore reopened the cafe).
