- Description
- Commons TV has been an overwhelming success, according to the results of the first-ever survey into the televising of Parliament. The findings of the study, conducted by media experts at Leeds University, show that Conservative MPs were televised in nearly 1,800 excerpts while members of all other parties appeared in almost 1,250. The results of the survey are being presented to the Commons select committee on the televising of the House this afternoon. The man in charge of the research, Bob Franklin, says that despite the problems of assessing whether programmes have remained politically balanced, he believes the broadcasters have done a good job. Male interviewer not identified.
