Christopher Hourmouzious talks to East Londoners about their personal experiences during the Blitz. A book by Professor Tom Harrison, entitled Living Through the Blitz, and based on oral histories, is the inspiration behind the interviews. In the Kings Arms public house on the Mile End Road, he interviews Sid Phillips(?), a baker; Bill Mann(?), former landlord of the Kings Arms; Frankie Kay from the Isle of Dogs; several unnamed men.
