Four police officers (Michael John Gavin, Edward Napier Maine(?), Michael John Parr, Nicholas John Wise(?)) have been charged in connection with an assault on five black and white youths in Holloway, North London, two years ago. Unidentified male speaker (poss. Labour MP, Chris Smith) welcomes steps being taken, but expresses disappointment that Home Secretary, Douglas Hurd cancelled today’s meeting with the youths (Smith was due to accompany them).
