Des Fahy interviews Shadow Education Secretary, Jack Straw about claims that a report on opted-out schools shows the policy has been a failure. He says a study by the Local Schools Information Unit shows that less than one percent have taken up the Government’s plan of grant maintained status in four years and the majority of those children have come from Conservative education authorities.
