Description
Enoch Powell, Ulster Unionist MP for South Down, accuses the British Government of employing undercover agents to help prise Northern Ireland from the UK; he believes that agents provocateurs were planted during a recent Loyalist march. He says that Margaret Thatcher signed the treaty (the Anglo-Irish Agreement?) under pressure from the Americans. He also scoffs at the idea that local politicians might work together; politicians get elected, he says - they don’t work together. Male interviewer not identified.
