Description

CNN’s Brent Sadler reports from the scene of a direct hit on Baghdad’s Al-Rashid Hotel during further coalition air strikes in southern Iraq. The cruise missile may have lost its way or been gunned down by Iraqi air defences. There are heavy casualties and extensive damage to the hotel, which was a base for Western journalists and important Iraqi government guests. Artillery fire and smashing glass is heard.
