Description
Paul Maurice interviews UK Defence Secretary, Michael Heseltine about the carriage of nuclear weapons on warships. He says the British Government will neither confirm nor deny their presence. NATO commander Admiral Staveley is quoted as saying there are not enough minesweepers to defend more than Faslane and Holy Loch (naval bases). Heseltine says there is pressure on military commanders to argue for more but the Government has a budget which has already risen in light of the Falklands experience.
