CD48- Interview with Acker Bilk, jazz musician. Born 28 January 1929 as Bernard Stanley Bilk [known more familiarly as Mr Acker Bilk], clarinettist. He is known for his trademark goattee beard, bowler hat, striped waistcoat and his breathy, vibrato-rich tone. He usually spends 46 weeks of the year touring making shows, visiting countries. He enjoyed very much Australia. He has had the nickname since he was 4-year-old boy from a mate in the school. He talks about his life and his career. [Box 11]
