Description
Mike Matthews in association with Vincent’s BMW this week visits the village of Ecchinswell, in Hampshire. On Track 1, he conducts 5 interviews. 1- The home of Margaret, a lady with a great knowledge of the area and she talks about the village history and her memories of childhood. 2-David Ree runs a Farm Shop and Post-Office and is used as a general store in the village. He is specialised in cheeses, he sells 50 different types of cheeses including some from the Continent. 3- In the outskirts of the village, we find the home of Maud Clark, a lady who was born here and she talks about her memories of childhood. 4- In the middle of the village, we find the farm of Charles Kingsmill. He talks about his farm and the origin of his surname: King of the Mill or Kingsmill. 5- George Potter, in the Mill House. He talks about the Mill’s history and his childhood memories. On Track 2, there are only 2 interviews: 1- The House of The Old Tannery, a man talks about this house’s history. 2- Finally he goes to the home of Stan Roberts. He used to be a rabbit catcher. He could catch 120 a day, then he would sell to a lady who put them on her market stall. [Box 4]
