Description
Mike Matthews second visit to a village: this time, he goes to Checkendon, in the South of Oxfordshire, 9 miles northwest outside Reading, off the A474. He talks first with the vicar of the local parish church, and he talks about the history of the Church. Then, he speaks with the landlady of a pub. She is 80-years-old and has run the pub for 65 years. She talks about the pub and the local life, and says nothing really changes. The third interview is with a lady that looks after horses. And the last interview is with a Primary School teacher, who decided to teach the children going into the countryside with them and showing the country and wild life. She goes to the woods with the children and teaches them to hug a tree and look after the trees and plants. [Box 4]
