Synopsis
Shakespeare’s Birthday Lecture delivered at the Folger Shakespeare Library Elizabethan Theatre by Professor Gina Bloom. The lecture focuses on ‘The Tempest’ and examines motion capture and the use of digital gaming technology to present the spirit Ariel on stage as a digital avatar by the RSC. The lecture includes a demonstration of ‘Play the Knave,' the Shakespeare video game that Bloom co-developed.
