General
Henry IV, Part I and Henry IV, Part II were filmed simultaneously from January to March 2012. The films were shot on location and at Ealing Studios in London, where the Boar’s Head Tavern set was created. Scenes at Henry IV’s court in the Palace of Westminster were filmed at Gloucester Cathedral. Caerphilly Castle in Wales was used both for the scenes set at Warkworth Castle and for the meeting with Glendower. The Battle of Shrewsbury was filmed in a field near Rickmansworth during a winter snowfall.
