Video recording of the Renegade Theatre from Lagos production of The Winter’s Tale for the Globe to Globe season. Shakespeare’s characters became figures from Nigerian mythology. Leontes is cast as the thunder god, Shango and Polixenes becomes Ogun, god of iron. Directed by Olúw lé Ogúntókun and spoken in Yoruba.
