Shakespeare Unlocked

Synopsis

Television, radio and online campaign for the BBC to launch its Shakespeare Unlocked season in April/May 2012.

The brief was "to bring the works of Shakespeare to a wider audience and celebrate how one man was able to uniquely capture so many diverse human emotions that are as relevant to today’s audience as they were in his own time" (The Drum).

The campaign was created by Karmarama, produced by Red Bee and directed by Ben Newman. Tom Grove Carter for the Family was the editor while post production was carried out by Time Based Arts. Audio was completed by Grand Central Sound Studios.

Shakespeare Unlocked is part of the BBC’s Cultural Olympiad schedule and features over 25 programmes devoted to Shakespeare across its TV and radio networks.
The launch campaign covers BBC TV, radio and online.
