Synopsis: British soap opera set in the rural English Midlands, In this episode Vicky (Rachel Atkins) marries the recently widowed milkman, Mike. At their wedding her new stepdaughter, Brenda, strongly against the marriage, reads Sonnet 116, ‘Let me not to the marriage of true minds’. In an exchange about the reading Vicky reveals she didn’t know it was Shakespeare, and Brenda says ‘You can always rely on Shakespeare to nail it’. [With acknowledgment to Susanne Greenhalgh].
