Hamlet - Ostermeier

Synopsis
Live television transmission of Thomas Ostermeier’s stage production of Hamlet directed for the Avignon Festival 2008. ‘To refocus Shakespeare’s work on its hero interpreted by Lars Eidinger, Thomas Ostermeier has selected a limited number of actors: six to play about 20 roles, favouring the scenes in which Shakespeare depicts, through the Danish court, a political system composed of murders, corruption and passions that serve the desire for power.'
