Synopsis
Eighth in a series of ten educational radio programmes in which various aspects of Shakespeare’s life and work are discussed by scholars and theatre practitioners with illustrative excerpts from his plays and poems. In this episode Donald Wolfit performs scenes from King Lear and John Humphrey stars in a speech from Hamlet. John F. Danby talks about the nature of Shakespeare’s tragedies.
